Songs of the Stars

Let obstacles become the greatest teacher and uncertainty our path to knowledge. Why should we paint dark pictures and think dark thoughts while standing in the light of the sun. Here we stand as survivors of the 12/21/12 day of world's end being plucked like the string on a violin. We are the superior conglomerate of atoms and molecules vibrating on multi-dimen sional levels and the towering crescendo of a microbial orches tration. The die is cast again and the disruption of this orches tration is mainly within ourselves. For futurist, science fiction readers, and mystics extinction level events will always be in the mix like some long lost melody that never lost its appeal and can still turn a coin or two.The human brain is able to pro cess information at an astounding rate even without the aid of tools, computers, and other peripheral devices. What would be the logic in basing our daily routines on the scribblings and cave drawings of a very obsolete and unsustainable civilization that was expertly skilled in astronomy and mathematics.
Who are these people that defied the professed "long count" and the very fabric of the mayan calendar itself? The people of present day and modern earth are a wired in,perceptive group of social media addicts observing an entire world of events in a few seconds and therefore they don't just react to events in one country and are distinguished electronic citizens of the world. This world is wired to- gether by satellite gps, radio,tv signals and the internet. The tools of modern man are sophisticated and technologically advanced and the sheer numbers are staggering. In a population that exceeds a bil- lion people there are a billion cell phones, automobiles and computers and rate of human knowledge is close to doubling within a short span of time than is ever decreasing. So diverse are all these products, that up- grades and redesign have become routine market survival rituals. There is no survival without change. Traveling at 17.5 thousand miles per hour across the reaches of space, the Hubble telescope transmits 120 gigabytes of images and data per week is responsible for dark energy and dark matter as well as the birth of stars. It discovered that the Orion Nebula ,which is large cloud cluster of spinning dust is actually one of the largest star nurseries containing over 700 stars that are in various stages of development. When a star is about to born there is a spinning tail of cosmic dust over a trillion miles long and the star is ejected from the cloud at a speed of over half a million miles per hour.It is by the keen data collection of the Hubble telescope that we were to able ob- serve the birth of a star.NASA is working on a new and more powerful telescope that will travel and orbit a million miles from earth. This new upgrade is known as the James Webb Telescope. The Hubble telescope catalogued images of distant planets, stars and clusters whose very existence might never have been known. Many of these planets have water on them and some moons like Europa are covered in sheets of ice.The color-coded star systems and clusters of galactic nebula protect and incubate the next generation of stars. When we compare our present knowledge of stars and astronomy to that of ancient times we are talking apples and oranges. For not only is space is a good place to study, its a good place to live.
