The answers to many problems reside in the stars .They are always brighter than our reality and more beautiful than human perception . For what we see in them is diminished or enhanced by our five senses.It is important to note that things are moving so fast that they appear to be still and things that appear to be still and solid move at or near the speed of light.Millions of stars that exploded centuries ago are spewing their wealth of particles into the far reaches of outer space , thereby creating every element on the periodic tables and many that are unstable and lasting only a fraction of a millionth part of a millisecond. Elements at the atomic level can reflect light long enough to give us a visual reality and combine to create a solid chain of life known as DNA from compounds that absorb and release energy like the stars themselves.Cosmic rays from the distant stars move toward earth almost at the speed of light.Like it or not,what we are living in is essentially a giant particle accelerator.Shielded from cosmic rays by a magnetic field, we go about our daily tasks with not a care in the world surrounded by forces so powerful they could dissolve our reality away in the blink of an eye.
It is the sixth day of June in the year 2011 and the ambient temperature outside is nearing 105 degrees.Storms are brewing everywhere because of the hot atmosphere and the increased cloud movement of the hurricane season.I am not blaming the often stated problem of global warming for these horrendous weather conditions but there is something strange and definitely not right about the strength and magnitude of these earthquakes,tsunamis,twisters,droughts,snowstorms
and flooding that simply defy explanation.The violence of nature destroys the natural habitat of man which can only be rebuilt again with compassion for one another and repeated effort because nature in a destructive mode is relentless toward men and all living things.Those lucky enough to survive these cataclysms and natural upheavals are the fortunate ones and the next part of a stronger generation.
It is tough to survive these violent episodes and cling to the stable parts of civilization without the sharing of resources as well as fundamental knowledge .The weather has and always will be the main factor that is truly responsible for the healthy growth,development and survival of human creativity and civilization.Unbearably cold weather produced the Dark Ages ,where innocent people were burned as witches and blamed for the cold weather and the
Black Plague killed millions during a frozen climate change when giant populations of rats took shelter in the cities spreading diseases and filth to the water and food supply. Good weather produced the Renaissance and the Age of Enlightenment ,where art ,music and science flourished as never before.More gigantic industries in our modern digital civilization depend on the whimsical behavior of weather than you could name.Even the green energy industry is more dependent on the weather than it would care to admit.The progress of civilization can be measured by the frequent or infrequent occurrences of destructive weather patterns and other natural disasters. While is just as easy to blame the whole series of catastrophic events on global warming this idea could only move us farther away from the truth since global warming is not the whole story.The ocean itself absorbs trillions of tons of Co2 but it also reaches a saturation point where it must release all of it back into the atmosphere and it is at this point where the oceans releases it and absorbs it that the worst of global warming occurs.Man made Co2 aerosols and carbon based emissions comprise the X factor in controlling greenhouse gas and there is no space in the oceans to absorb them and literally they become a free roaming entity more than capable of raising our planet's temperature when combined with Co2 emissions from the ocean and unable to warm the earth when oceans are saturated with Co2 thus producing a colder atmosphere.
While Co2 emissions from rice paddies,plant and food waste, and industrial waste can be recycled into usable energy and byproducts,there is no way to control carbon based emissions from factories,refineries and automobiles.It is widely known that the elimination of all greenhouse gases would reduce the entire earth to an ambient temperature of zero degrees.The elimination of all greenhouse gases could trigger another Ice Age.Absorb and Release is the method nature employs to sustain every living thing and every object that produces,emits and consumes energy.The movement of the earth itself also affects climate change since there is a polar shift of four to five degrees that changes the distribution of sunlight,the position of the north pole and the earth's magnetic field near the polar regions.The earth orbits and spins in a wobbly fashion around the sun while in an elliptical pattern that sometimes is closer to the sun and other times farther away creating a warmer or cooler planet.The earth also orbits in a circular pattern creating a steady or unchanging orbit that may be closer or farther from the sun.The formation of giant sunspots on the surface of the sun
may provide another clue to the climate change on earth.Sunspots are massive pieces of the sun's plasma or gas eruptions that are ejected from the sun and hurled into outer space with a huge portion of it headed straight for planet earth.If you want to get a better picture of the volume of this energy just imagine earth sitting next to the sun and by a volume measurement you could place one million planet earths inside of the sun.The huge coronal mass ejection travels toward earth at a million miles an hour.What many have begun to realize is that the more frequent these solar flares are the hotter our planet becomes and when the climate of earth is cold sunspot activity is lower than usual.To be even more specific about it,you must know that there is an 11 year sunspot cycle with that 11th year being the one with the highest sunspot activity.We call that peak of sunspot activity the Solar Max.The Solar Max is marked by this increased activity of coronal mass ejections that occurs daily.The last two years sunspots were at their highest activity was 1989 and the year 2000.Well,you guessed it and guessed it right.The year 2011 is the next year and we are in the Solar Max year and being bombarded daily by these coronal mass ejections from the sun.We are in the Solar Max year and what has unfolded is a year of destruction,drought,famine, and unpredictable weather patterns on a global scale. A super heat exchange between the sun and the earth on a daily basis would be enough to affect and alter the climate on earth but there is even more to this sunspot phenomena that meets the eye.Coronal mass ejections from the sun also have a magnetic field stronger than that of earth that collides with earth's magnetic field producing magnetic storms,proton storms,power outages,and interference with numerous satellite transmissions.What also happens is a distinct reduction in the number of cosmic rays hitting earth during a Solar Max.We call this interstellar activity the Forbush Decrease.It was named after solar interplanetary physicist Scott Forbush.He spent his life studying the sun,cosmic rays, and the planets from a ship that traveled around the world as a mobile observatory.He was an expert on space weather and cosmic rays and his body of work was instrumental in discovering the effect of solar flares on cosmic ray reduction.These observations and others led to the invention of the cosmic ray meter;a steel sphere filled with argon gas and separated by a positive and a negative electrode.When cosmic rays enter the sphere an electric current is produced and is measured and converted to usable data..The reduction of cosmic rays has been linked to the amount of cloud formations in the atmosphere and the formation of aerosol droplets that support water vapor in the clouds.As a final
point of interest it should be noted that a single coronal mass ejection can suppress
cosmic rays for a two week period or longer.Rain could disappear for months or even for the entire year during a Solar Max.
