THE GYROSCOPIC EARTH

Life is a constant series of movements. This never-ending ballet of light and high energy particles flying about is bold and ostentatous in appearance as it envelops the above and below. Why not start below the earth's crust. It was once thought to be the dwelling place of the god Vulcan and many a disliked deity but in the center lies a hot metal sphere roughly the size of the moon with a surface temperature of one million degrees. This metal core is surrounded by a sea of molten iron so vast and incomprehensible that words cannot describe it.I can only say it would be like standing on the the surface of the sun if such a thing were possible. The earth's surface is 75% water and the rest is rock formations developed from within and the fossilized remains of plants and animals. The earth is a beautiful array of many colored sunrises and sunsets. Our planet is always moving through waves and channels of gravity, magnetism, and light. The earth is always moving period. As planet earth moves,so does its bodies of water and its magnetic field. Earth's magnetic field comes from this ocean of iron, an electrically charged conducting fluid flowing in constant motion. Sitting atop the hot inner core, the liquid outer core churns and boils like water in a pan or on a hot stove. The outer core also has "hurricanes"--whirlpools powered by the Coriolis forces of Earth's rotation. These complex motions generate our planet's magnetism through a process called the dynamo effect. If you consider the motion from within this sea of molten metal plus the fact that the inner core is rotating faster than the rest of earth, the inner earth is more like a gyroscope made of metal and not the land of caves and monsters described in science fiction novels.
The earth's magnetic field surrounds the earth and it is the only force of nature that can repel and dissipate the unrelenting pulse of energy from the sun.Our bodies can only withstand temperatures a little above 100 degrees fahrenheit and the earth without its magnetic field would be devoid of life.Magnetic north is what we often mythologically call the North Pole. The North Pole or magnetic north is constantly moving from one area to another at the the rate of forty miles per year. The earth has a dipolar magnetic field that dissipates the massive waves of solar energy directly above the north and south magnetic poles resulting in an unbelievable light show called the aurora borealis. The gyroscopic behavior of our planet is intriguing and the erratic behavior of inner earth is a looking glass into what happens on the surface.
